The HHC Guitar Initiative is a program of the Hispanic Heritage Council of WNY, Inc. that aims to bring quality guitar music to the people of Western New York. The initiative is composed of three programs:
-A free guitar class for children that don’t have access to music education in which all class materials are provided, including musical instruments.
-An International Concert Series that brings some of the best guitarists in the world to perform for free and interact with the community.
-An outreach program that brings music to community centers like nursing homes, pantries, community kitchens, shelters.
This initiative is possible thanks to the generous support of the community of Western New York, the Isaías González Soto Library, the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum, the Castellani-Andriaccio Guitar Studio, Hungry for Music, and the Cullen Foundation.
